The Red Lion, 95 Warstone Lane, Hockley. A pretty old world traditional small pub off the main road in Hockley that featured live music from local acts in the early 2000s.
The music venue was a small upstairs room with no stage and the pub played host to anything from blues to rock to acoustic music. Local TV/Radio commentator Carl Chinn’s daughters Cat (Catherine) and Tara appeared there on a regular basis.
The pub now hosts DJ based and comedy nights rather than live music but it does still have the occasional live act on the bill.
