Period Literacy Toolkit for homelessness sector

This toolkit is the result of collaborative work with lived experience voices, frontline workers, and public health practitioners — offering practical, inclusive, and trauma-informed guidance for addressing period inequality in the homelessness sector.

The video below is an online guided walk-through of the Period Literacy Toolkit, designed to support people experiencing homelessness.

This online walk-through explores the key themes and sections within the toolkit, shares insights from those involved in its development, and discusses how it can be used to improve health & wellbeing and reduce health inequalities across services.

Whether you're a frontline worker, healthcare professional, or advocate — adopting this toolkit in your practice is an opportunity to be part of a growing movement to tackle period poverty with dignity and care.

The Period Literacy Toolkit is designed to help those working in the housing and homelessness sector to raise awareness of period literacy and period poverty.

It was created in collaboration with our inclusion health service and Spring Housing Association.
